And this bullshit right here is the reason why console games never have acceptable performance. They think anything but solid 60 is acceptable. They think high framerate is special gift from them to us when it should be the norm. They think it's only for a small subset of gamers when actually everyone would benefit from it.

Why 60fps? That seems arbitrary.

Because most TVs and monitors don't go further than that, which means anything between it and 30 is likely to cause tearing and if it's not locked, stuttering. I personally prefer stable 144fps, which is another noticeable jump from 60.



If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.
