But it will also give you better results on a 4k screen than what 1600P will offer due to less funky-dory scaling.

Something to keep in mind is that resolution doesn't end at 4k on the PC either, you can go higher than that. ;)

When you start talking 4k and higher resolutions with all the graphical bells and whistles, the CPU does tend to become irrellevent, you are always GPU bound.

Not always the case when it comes to framerate.

In such a case you are likely not to be entirely GPU limited.
