No, it won't be. Mind giving us a list of those native 4K games on the PS4? I know TLoU is one but that's a remastered game. What else? |
We're still in the dark details wise with almost all of the confirmed Pro games, but The Elder Scrolls Online is another that's been confirmed for a native 4k. In-general a native 4k should be possible for the Pro with games sitting at mid-tier graphics, like TLOU:R and TESO. We also know, based on DF's mock-up from a bit ago, that the Pro should be able to hit about 1800p on high-end titles like TW3. Assuming that's accurate, i certainly expect the Scorpio to hit 4k more often than it doesn't. Ignoring unknown variables and assuming a linear jump, the Pro to the Scorpio would be akin to 1800p to 4k.
It's worth noting this is without considering the effect of Sony's up-scaling technique, which is currently a bit of an unknown. If it's as effective as they appear to believe, there will likely be instances where a developers opts for a lower resolution than the Pro can actually handle (using those resources for other things), and letting the up-scaling technique fill the hole. We'll have to wait and see on that front.
