How can you say that the enthusiast are the ones waiting for the $500 pc's to upgrade? Then you say they are willing to spend $800+. your not being consistant. If you already have or planing to get a $800+ pc, then yea, most likely you will not even think twice about a pro. Thouse people are out off reach. But the people wic you first mentioned, that are planing to wait a year at least to get a $500+ pc to beat(I would not say beat, more like match) a pro, thouse people will definetly think twice and have theese thoughts witch are the main.

1) wait a whole year for the pc parts to drop so I can have a competitive machine.

2) will still pay more for a competitive machine.

3) consoles have longer life than pc's without the need to upgrade.

4) consoles have higher quality exclusives.

Seems I worded my messege poorly.

The people that care the most about perfomance and playing at higher settings are paying $800+ for their PCs and making $400+ dollar upgrades to their machines every 3-5 years. PS4Pro won't be enough for these people right now. PS4Pro will be losing to $500+ machines in about a year. At best, the PS4Pro would entice people playing on the mid-low tier of pcs. Sony wants to bring in pc gamers that are leaving consoles after a few years from release because of performance but created a machine that doesn't seem that enticing to a lot of that crowd (largly the guys with $800+ rigs). PS4Pro would appeal more to the people already on the mid-low, and I truly wonder if they would be happier paying $400 every thhree years for a playstation or just riding out their $500-600 PCs with more modest upgrades every 4+ years. It should appeal to some. Things look worse for sony in this regard when you compare libraries and the additional cost of ps+.

This is where I disagre. You seem to think that to be interested in performance means the best of the best, wich is wrong. If I want something better than what I already have, dosent mean I will only get something 10x better. Nor does it mean I have the means to afford it. Nor does it mean that I will apreciate a 10x diference. There are so many inbetwens. I belive that there will be a lot of pc gamers that will see interest in this. There will be others like me, who thought of getting a pc, but decided to get the pro instead. There will also be others who are not really impres by it, but really cant aford what a pc would cost to match a pro.

It takes genuine talent to see greatness in yourself despite your absence of genuine talent.
