I honestly just don't care. I wish people would accept it as an annoyance and just move on. You don't want a gaming console because it can't play a dying movie format? Fine, then don't buy one. It's not for you. Honestly, I think the majority of the people complaining are simply those people that will simply never be happy with anything that doesn't have a particular brand name on it, and would never buy the Pro anyway. If it never gets UHD Blu-Ray support, then I. Don't. Care. I'm still buying one Day 1

Same here... Still getti it day one. The reasons i want and always wanted a PS4pro never once had anything to do with IHD Movies. I am really shocked how "important"movie playback has become all of a sudden. I've heard more mention of movies in the past week than I have in the past 6yrs. And then the things that actually improve gaming like HDR for all across PS4 and PS4pro and improved gaming performance for PS4pro owners gaming on 1080p TVs just don't get mentioned.

Being able to watch movies is officially more important than playing games on a gaming console. Go figure lol.

This article is more or less an ideal response to those who have used the only omission in Ps4 as the major criticism to downplay.
