Exceptions to the rule. This just sound to me like he's saying 'business as usual'. It would be like Microsoft saying they're trying to attract more FPS fans to their console.

I don't know if you understand but Miyamoto is talking about  new customers and new kids, new generation of fans that are playing on smartphones. They're not saying we are gonna make games just for kids. Miyamoto is literally saying that super mario run is being made with that purpose. If you think Nintendo games are for kids then that's your personal opinion.
