Honestly, I think the praise the Pro recieved from attendees of the event last week was more due to this TV than anything else. If you go to any A/V store and see this thing sitting next to the rest of the TV's it is like looking at an HDTV next to an SDTV. Even the Sony X940D and the LG OLED65G6P look underwhelming next to it, and they were the cream of the crop for the last 3 or 4 years. With all of the talk about true next gen, this IMO is the true next gen of TV. If you can't afford $6K for the 65" or $9K for the 75", right now, I would seriously wait for this tech to expand to other manufactures, and for prices to fall. Hopefully, Sony will bring out a 55" next year so they break into the ~$4K market. I really feel like the tech behind this TV is what is going to upgrade, more so than 4K, which honestly doesn't do a whole lot. |
It's a very sweet TV and may be what I get soon.
