My point was that as a premium console, differing from a new-gen console, pricing isn't as important as new features given that a standard SKU exists to serve the rest. It related to your situation in that had it cost more than you were willing to pay with your current setup, you'd still buy a regular PS4.

Of course I still wanted to buy PS4 because I'm a gamer. But that was before the PS4 Pro announcement. The PS4 Pro serves my gaming preferences more than the PS4. So again it's a non issue and I get when I pay for. And so what if the PS4 outsell the PS4 Pro? That doesn't make the PS4 Pro a niche system and even if it is what's the big deal? It's what I want and that's what really matters. It's not up to you to dictate what's best for me and what's a niche product.
