Hmm.....
I feel that Sun and Moon has a bit more of a marketing push that I remember XY having, at the very least the excitement seems higher than I recall Gen 6 having.
It might be because of marketing needs of course: Nintendo might want to push Sun and Moon more heavily because of the fact that it is the year's big game, then Zelda.
It's oddly enough even history repeating itself: back when Ocarina of Time was being worked on Nintendo was running low on funds to make it. They managed to push through with it via the help of Gen 1, and now Gen 7 is going to buy some time, and funds, for quite possibly the Ocarina of the 2000's.
Of course I don't know how Japanese fans are reacting to Pokemon, so I can't really say. Maybe the hype is more western than eastern? We'll find out in November.
The Democratic Nintendo fan....is that a paradox? I'm fond of one of the more conservative companies in the industry, but I vote Liberally and view myself that way 90% of the time?
