No. Mr House explicitly said that the PS4 Pro is not a blurring of the generations!

PR spin. There's no way it's not a blurring of generations. Sony wants to keep the narrative this way because this gen is going well for them, that's the only reason.

They either are going to have to respond to Scorpio or accept that MS will have superior third party multiplats again and will start gaining traction with hardcore gamers because of that.

You bet your ass MS is going to yell loudly at every press event, every TV commercial, etc. etc. that XBox Scorpio has the best version of COD and GTAVI, the best graphics, the best 4K performance, the only place to play 4K BluRays, etc. Look at how quickly they've already jumped on PS4 Pro not playing 4K UHD discs, they're already making it a giant bullet point.

And once Sony repsonds, then Microsoft will respond back. It'll become a never ending cycle.

When "Scorpion comes out it will be four full years into this generation, and by that point arguments such as "gaining traction with hardcore gamers" is very insignificant. By that time the vast majority of hardcore gamers have already entered this generation, and it's only gonna be a part of them that will upgrade. Christmas 2017 and 2018 could be somewhat strong for Xbox, but typically in the last couple of years in a generation the majorit of consoles are sold to casuals, kids and people who lazily complement their console lineup for exclusives and the other platforms.

6 TFLOPs versus 4.2 TFLOPS four years into the generation will only have marginal effect.

But interesting about the PR talk. It's plausible that Mr House pulled a lie, and in fact Sony doesn't even know yet wether PS4 Pro will support PS5 games.

Was u one of those who was now gonna buy a XB Slim because PS4 Pro lacked the 4K Blurays?
