Apparently " a lot of people" said that the xbox wasn't even going to win an NPD this year. I'd love to know who said that and the context of it. They have won two in 2014 and 2015, so assuming they wouldn't this year would be absurd.

I say "would be" because I doubt it actually happened. I'm guessing at most person (who was probably banned for being extremely biased) said it - and that suddenly become " a lot of people".

"A Lot of People"  may be the  actual name of a single person.
