I very often have to settle for 40-45 fps in PC games and I'm happy with it. Like Dragon Age Inquisition, Witcher 3 and Fallout 4 are impossible for me to run in 60fps.
And honestly a stable 30 fps is quite okay for me. I remember I put almost 2,000 hours in Oblivion back in 2006 and 2007 and it ran at an unstable 18-27fps and yet I was the happiest man in the world.
I'm so amazed that Battelfield 1 is able to run in stable 60fps on my PC while it looks almost photorealistic. It has the best graphics of all games and yet it performs extremely well.
