They aren't going to release a tablet with 32GB memory that can't store a single downloadable game. The spec and screen resolution will seriously reduce code size compared to home consoles anyway.  So basically too expensive,  not required and doesn't work with the announced spec if true.

Chirping in here because I covered this topic on another thread, but Macronix, Nintendos propietory ROM manufactuer, announced a while ago that they'd start on a new (32nm) production process and would be able to deliver 32GB ROM carts at the price of a regular BD for Nintendo.

So it seems like 32GB as the new standart cart size is not only possible and comparatively cheap, but all but confirmed by the manufacturer itself.

Wow didn't know that, so 64gb from 3rd parties is definitely something that can happen, without being "n64 cart expensive".
