In all objectivity, we don't know right now because FFXV hasn't released yet.
That being said, turn based gameplay is one of the cleanest and least error prone game design implementations you can have. It just works. SE likes to try and bite off more than they can chew all too often.
BUT, that's both a criticism and a compliment. So many other game developers are cowards when it comes to changing up their game designs. Most of them AAA developers.
