I think it's important to note that pretty much all, if not all, 4K TVs upscale to 4K.  So, if you have a 4K TV, anyway, the XB1S really has no advantages.  Of course, not all upscalers are created equal, but being $299, I highly doubt the XB1S is going to be better at it than a $1000+ TV.  It'll probably do it as well as a $500+ one, though.

Well Samsung and Sony for sure; but no-name brands, big-name-turned-no-name brands (let's face it, Panasonic is garbage without their precious Plasma), and LG? No, their upscaling is all garbage.
