Driveclub does look very, very good, but I don't think that just because it didn't quite floor me, that I'm not longer capable of being floored.

I'm aware that from now on, graphical progression will appear slower than it did, say, in the 2000s or the 90s, but I'm sure that at some point in the future there will be that one game like Uncharted 2 last gen that might not be a generational transition but still looks so damn impressive compared to anything else on the market that I'll once again be wowed.

Uncharted 2 doesn't really look more impressive than any other game at the time, Killzone 2 came before it and looks as good and even better in many ways but just has less colour variety. I think its more about what you might play, maybe you haven't played The Order and Uncharted 4 and Doom on PC.

I'm just saying its less likely that you'll be amazed by anything as now with each gen the differences will be less noticeable and there wouldn't be one big jump anymore between generations but a more gradual improvement in visuals.

Uncharted blows Killzone out of the water for me. Even back in 2009 I always thought KZ2 looked fugly as hell with its monotonous grey environments and tacky filters.

Also, I can see what games look like without playing them; I've seen UC4 and The Order running on a TV screen, and I can see videos of Doom online. And yes, all three do look very nice. Honestly though, I still think the best video game graphics I've seen to date is Star Wars Battlefront on PC.
