Umm... so in fact, gives credit to people thinking that ps4pro* will upscale to reach 4k?
I'm not participating in the poll because the options are all lame, if something is sold as 4k gaming experience, question is if it achieves 4k or not.
"Near" 4k is not a specific metric, so there is no way one can prove that one way or another. Sony never used the word "near".
That said, I have no problem with console itself, it matches my expectations for it completely. Just not the fanb** hype and marketing BS.
Still waiting to see if they just upclocked PS4 Jaguar CPU, or if they implemented Puma+/etc. That would be at high end of my expectations.
And of course I prefer devs don't try and target as high a res as possible (still sub-4k), but rather target FPS and graphics (+sound).
It could be that targetting something like 20% above 1080p and down-scaling would be more efficient than AA to achieve similar look, though.
*The "pro" designation is so ridiculously lame, as if it is "professional" camera or something. It's a game box. Nothing pro about it. NEO was legit.
