Well, to be honest, this announcement made me think if there isn't something big coming from both of them. Can you imagine if Nintendo partnered with Apple to develop NX and the console is actually able to run the iOS system? With all the talk of detaching controllers on NX, you'd be basically left with... a tablet, right? A tablet that has a secondary OS, why not?
I know it's hard to believe that Apple would let that happen. At the same time, they aren't actually competing, so, who knows?
I personally think that if NX's controller can become a tablet like device, it would be awesome to have it also run iOS or Android. Imagine the games already there from the start and also being able to play it on TV!
