Secondly, just because you have $4.6 billion it doesn't mean you can be cavalier with it. There are still shareholders to please and if Apple is offering a way to bring in more money then why not?
I agree with the Japanese buy out thing though. It is unlikely unless, but when things get desperate you never know. |
Yea, I thought it was lower than 9.5 billion in cash reserves. I even stated in Pachter thread that I thought it was around 6 or 7. I should have known they might have been adding up all the assests like properties, etc.
I don't see them ever wanting to be owned by another company even if said company that bought them let them run independently. I think with them getting into the movie business, throwing some smartphone games out, reaching out and cooperating with others (Universal Studios rides), and a moderate success of NX they will be perfectly fine. I see no reason why the next few quarters they shouldn't be rolling in the money. Maybe not as much as Apple or other companies but at least they will improve over their past few years results.
