I have to say something that people seem to forget is that Games are an interactive experience something that cant be expressed truly though standard advertising practices, which is why Nintendo is taking Zelda BoTW to so many shows. Games that are super blinged out tend to get peoples attention. Nintendo has been relying on other means to get attention Motion control, 3d screens and such. And if that fails you end up with a Wii U.
NX is traveling the same route whether it fails or not it's same approach regardless of how great Nintendo's games play, if they don't look bling blang and the NX fails to grab peoples attention then it will be a failed product.
Most people are shallow creatures and first impressions are often based on what we see not feel, something that don't think is going to change eazily
