Sega as we knew it (in terms of entity, quality and games output) is dead and most of the talent be it Yuji Naka or Suzuki among many others have left a long time ago, what we see now is Sammy in diguise that uses a selected marginally small number of Sega IPs and even this not very well. Sega used to be a very strong competitor and innovater in the business and their output was similarily prolific as Nintendos. Nowadays what´s left of their talent that made Sega the big deal back then?

Keep in mind what we see nowadays includes Sammys IPs and developers. Even SegaSammy as a whole has a weaker output in the console business and without the buyout of Atlus, another non-Sega and seperate entity, the comparisons aren´t favourable.

Really a loss, just imagine Sega still beeing as prolific as they were. The game landscape wouldn´t be as monotonous as it is today.
