yeah I think you're right

I really hope we're talking about a resistive multi-touch screen here. They are just more versatile than capacitive ones and using your fingers just plain sucks for  lot of gameplay purposes. It's fine for navigating menus or using and on-screen keyboard, but I dare anyone to try and play Spirit Tracks with their fingers.

Fingers tend to cover up way too much of the screen, and are too impresice for fun, complex gameplay, imo.

Resistive multi-touch offers the best of both worlds, multi-touch for menu and multimedia navigation and stylus controls for games.
