As for the headphone jack removal, I don't think it's a terrible idea if, AND ONLY IF Apple replaces the Lightening connector with a USB-C port, but they are not doing that, so Apple can fuck off too.
I don't mind the headphone jack removal at all, but I'd rather buy new USB-C headphones that work on all of my electronics than buy lightening headphones that will only work on my freaking iPhone, not even Macs will be compatible with those lightening headphones.
