Custom Robo has had a couple games in the past. The game on the GameCube wasn't that good, but it had the building blocks of something pretty good.

In wishful thinking, I would imagine a Wii iteration of the Custom Robo series as something that should be pushing the Wii's hardware to the limit. Although I wish all games from now on would do that, I'd hope that Custom Robo Wii would do so especially. The ability for you to customize your own Robo to your preference would be even greater with fine attention to details. It would take the game above basic upgrade here, color change there, and put it at a place where you can get really picky about putting a single part anywhere that would ruin the flow of yo' Robo. Kind of like how the inventory in RE4 has to be organized just right (to me).

Gundam games are kind of popular in Japan too (24 PS2 Gundam games) so I know there is a Mecha fan audience over there that would accept Custom Robo again. It could use a serious story as well. The fine line between virtual reality and the abuse of it could be kind of interesting (I barely dabble in writing, so bear with me on that one). The dialogue in Custom Robo GC really ruined it (Charlie Brown wompa womp womp).

The only thing I fear wouldn't change is the combat. If another way could be found in order to engage fighting it would be better, but that is what makes Custom Robo, Custom Robo. If they could find a way to refine it, then that's what I'm looking for. Variations like mini-games or changes in battle perspective; taht would be good, because battles got really repetitve in Custom Robo.

Comments welcome.
