They won't use the 5ghz band only. It's the reason the gamepad signal gets messed up. If it goes between a few walls. It probably will offer both. But most people will be using the 2.4 one. I disabled my 5 band channel, on my AC router. Even if you have a 100Mb internet line. The 2.4 band is perfectly fine for it. VS the crappy signal 5 causes. Most console services never let you download, at that speed, to begin with. The PS website limited my download speed, of the system update to 3MB/s. And I can reach over 25MB/s. If the site/service supports that.
