The Pikmin team is NOT working on Pikmin for 3DS !

Well just because it's a spin-off or port or whatever doesn't mean it's a game the NX couldn't have gotten or that those games take no time and resources to make. Of course NX will eventually get all those games, but what matters to me is how many will come next year, as I plan on getting a new system during the holidays as I'll mostly be done with 3DS/Wii U by then.

That's exactly point, all those games are game that take little time and resources, and NX dont need small projects, spin offs and small projects espacily in first year, they need heavy and moderate hitters escpaicly in first year.
