And how popularity makes any difference at all for this? If you wouldn't feel Ps4 obsolete cause LBP3 is ported to the Vita then you shouldn't feel like wiiu is obsolete cause yoshi is on 3ds, specially when it looks like ten times better on the wiiu version which was also released on 2015 instead of 2017. 

People don't like the WiiU so porting it's exclusive games (the only thing it has going for it) to a system that is much more widely enjoyed is a big deal.

But incase you didn't know the 3ds version actually has more content than the WiiU. It has every single level from the original plus additional exclusive levels. Other than graphics it is the definitive version.
