It's not normal for Nintendo, when have they ever done this before? I know they didn't with Wii or DS, and those are their two most successful systems ever.

Nintendo didn't even support the Wii after it's successor launched...... It is NOT normal for Nintendo. They do not support their systems after the release of a successor.

Even when that successor has B/C with the previous console and sells a horrifically low amout whilst the predecessor sold an insanely high amount. If Nintendo were ever going to support a System after the release of it's sucessor it would have been the Wii.

100 Million + Sold, Games would work on the new system, New system selling terribly. Still didn't support previous console.

And in both cases of the 3DS and WiiU - the new platform struggled out the gate. 3DS of course hit the brink, but then did OK. WiiU couldn't recover. I think Nintendo realizes leaving legacy platforms totally behind can be risky in today's market.

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016
