Which Nvidia Shield are you talking about? The portable or the console? The portable doesn't use a Tegra X1, it uses the older Tegra K1. You can't just arbitrarily make the screen size smaller like that either, the reason why it's an 8-inch tablet is because it needs that room inside to keep the chip cool. You also need phyiscal controls on the sides which will take up space, so you can't make it smaller in that way either. That 8-inch Tegra tablet would not fit inside your pocket unless you're wearing MC Hammer pants. |

Huh I thought it was same chip, but nope you're right, my bads. Still, you can't tell me the X1 can't at all work inside 3DS dimensions but will suddenly work perfectly inside the same dimensions just with 2 inches of extra width as this rumor says.
