Yeah. Even if the sequel is bad. (Unless the person says he won't make a sequel then does. That kinda pisses me off.)
I'd rather know that the creator and development team have nothing more in the tank... like is the case with Final Fantasy, then be left wondering if Eternal Darkness people had more awesome games inside it's legacy. Bleed the series dry... then when you suck twice in a row, try something new and revisit it when you've got some fresh new ideas.
However NO PREQUELS. While a bad sequel doesn't ruin the original story for me... a bad prequel up and screws everything up because bad prequels often make the Masterpiece make less sense or make the characters in the masterpeace motivated for different reasons... or... something stupid happens.
