There are plenty of 8 inch tablets, those are still handheld devices.
I dont see why 6.2" is too big, Id actually like to see them go bigger if they are doing a tablet like device.
a 8" screen in a gamepad like the Wii U's.
That does 720p.
With a Tegra X2, and Nintendo should have no equal in the handheld gameing space.
If nintendo goes too gimpy or small, they risk people going "this isnt that much differnt than gameing on my smart phone".
They need it to be a step up compaired to the smart phones. Bigger screen is one way of doing that.
*edit: its not like you can put a Wii U gamepad in your pocket anyways.
You most likely wont be able to put your NX in your pocket either.
Which is fine, its bigger than a normal handheld, because its also a hybrid home console.
The upside is it ll be one hellva strong handheld.
