RJ_Sizzle said: It's called crashing the market. It's setting the bar low for what people expect to pay so it slows the hardware industry down. Even if Xboxes don't fly off shelves using this tactic, it does make people think twice at why they're paying more for the competition. MS has far less to lose than their rivals by doing this. If MS can't gain ground in the market like they want, at least they can slow it down until they can figure out what to do next. My guess is that between now and next year is to keep Xbox as cheap as possible until they roll out the carpet for Scorpio. |
Exactly, my man, exactly. They're setting the expectations low in the hope of dragging Sony into the same situation. So the best thing Sony can do is just stay quiet, which they have.
edit: What, what!! Someone has 'actually' tried to turn the narrative on its head and suggest it's Sony fans who come in here and rave about sales only when the PS4 is ahead? You've got to be frigin' kidding me. How can this be? What is happening to the world? Have I slipped into an alternative reality? That has got to be the weirdest and most inappropriate comment I've read in ages.
The PS5 Exists.
