Hum, I always doubt something really original can come to existence, but often I am proved wrong.
In the WiiU case, I was impressed, bought the thing just to play ZombiU. And to this day is one of my favorite WiiU games, also Scribblenauts was pretty fun.
But overall, the WiiU was a huge disapointment, to me at least.
I still remember dreamming about playing Alien Colonial Marines as a horror survival, which Alien Isolation also prove that was a silly dream anyways.
Even Fatal Frame failed in my opinion, falling into the "big breasts, small talent" type of design of late KoeiTecmo games, which is a huge fall from grace from the 3 first games of the series.
I am VERY interested in the NX, but I will not buy it on launch because Nintendo has a lot to prove before I fully trust them again.

How was Fatal Frame V worse than 1 and 3 exactly?

2 also. The first 3 are among my favorite horror games ever. The thing that turned me off right away from the WiiU game was the loss of simplicity, which is something hard to explain in words, but the addition of stuff that kind took the mistery and horror away from the experience right away, at least to me.

Also the WiiU edition felt "gamish" to me, but the first 3 felt like a Tomie movie or something.

It is mainly this, the horror wasn´t there, it felt too much as a Koei modern game and it was confusing to me, even in controls, which suppose to be intuitive with the tablet controler.

I assume you are a fan of the new game, so just take this as my opinion only, not gospel. I am 34 years old, so a lot of stuff that were amusing to me 10 years ago are not anymore, so yes, me being a bitter jaded individual has a lot to do with it.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.
