If it can maintain the gap in the above Unreal Engine 4 Demo with PS4/XB1 games, that is to say some lowering of effects/details at 540p in portable mode and 720p for "home" mode ... I'd take that right now and run. Hopefully the NX can do about that. If it's worse, I'll admit I'll be somewhat dissapointed. |
In docked mode I fully expecting 1080p for Nintendo games, and 720/900p for ports of XB1/PS4 games.

That kind of lightning doesn't strike twice. The market today is vastly different than it was in 2006. If NX cannot offer competitive specs and software support to PS4/X1, then they need to make it significantly cheaper to compensate. They can't go head to head with MS/Sony in pricing, that's a red ocean and they're the smaller fish. |
To be fair it seems that NX is handheld and home console in same time, so you will have handheld and home console for same price, that definitely have a higher value for platform like that than just separate home console like PS4 or XB1, so even price of $299 want be high but evrething above would be definatly high.
Saying that, I expecting price point of around $250, $299 at most.

Graphically they are a generation behind, I can provide examples and images pointing out the flaws even with the best looking games. |
Really depends what you mean when you say graphically, if you mean beauty of graphics, they are definitely not generation behind, if you mean graphically from technical standpoint, yes they are, but I really care about how graphics looks not technical side of that graphic. Obvious examples are Zelda BotW and Horizon Dawn, Horizon Dawn graphic is technically at least one gen above Zelda BotW, but I like more Zelda BotW graphics despite that.
