I don't know why people keep getting surprised by a September prediction. (this is a prediction not a known source or something...)
Once you hit October, all companies are focused on their Xmas marketing. Nintendo won't want to disrupt any push it has for 3DS and WiiU by announcing NX in Q4.
So Nintendo will either have a ND in September early/mid OR will wait for January which is way too late for a March launch.
Considering Nintendo stated they'd reveal it in 2015 and they have only done NDs for many years now... the only obvious option is a Nintendo Direct in September.
I'd place it sometime between 9/8 (after Sony) and 9/20 (not too close to October). This would give time for initial buzz to be great but not overshadow Q4 launches like Pokemon, MiniNES and other stuffs.
