I think you misunderstand. There are no features cut (well, besides optical out, which *is* a feature).

Again: people shouldn't expect anything *added* but instead features cut. It's about the expectation of what a slim version is, not what is actually happening.

Well you did say this

'I think if you want to have 4k on a Sony console, you have to buy the neo. The slim is a cheap version of the vanilla console and gets features cut, not added.'

So get off his balls about it.

And what should we expect from a likely $50 to $100 cheaper remodel?

As optical audio out been removed? As it been confirmed? because the last time I checked it wasn't clear while some people noticed an optical audio in the slim pics.

Why do you even care and try to tell me what to do?

Again, for everyone: Sony is launching a better PS4 which they are trying to sell to customers. It would be dumb to include one feature also for the old console.

The slim is not only reduced in size but historically the console that gets features cut so the expectation would be that instead of getting additional features is to expect less features.

The removal of the optical part was made by the guy who owns the slim version, IIRC. And no, there is not "some people" saying there is an optical port but one on this forum who argued the youtube video of the guy who said no optical out.
