Mario Party is a big franchise now: they don't want to exploit it yearly anymore. It's zelda-size, and they will take their time with it.

I'm expecting things like online and a great deal of Wii mote implemenation for the next iteration. This is a big franchise for Nintendo now -- bigger than anything Sony makes besides Gran Turismo, for example. MP8 sold about as much as Gears of War, but I don't think people notice that.
