Mad Max... 19th? I didn't think it achieved very high critical acclaim, never mind the 19th best film of the past 16 years.
I'd put Dark Knight a lot higher also, but yeah this list was obviously not made by/for people like me. It's compiled by people who treat movies as an almost spiritual art that has to have a deep and meaningful subtle message, and obsess over nuances, parody's and cloaked political/philosophical statements.
Meanwhile I rate a film on if I enjoy it.
