Nope. I'm buying less digital now as I have seen the error of my ways. If I'm gonna spend money on something, I want total control, not partial... and I want it to be there even when the host company doesn't anymore.

Except you dont have total control.

Once your CD or Cartridge gets damaged and becomes unresponsive - its a paper weight - same with the platform that plays the game.

Both Physical and digital have their end of lives. No one form is better than the other in absolute fashion.

Digital wise - PSN/XBL/PC (in all formats) you are pretty much secure - as long as the services run which I dont see how any of them will be closing down anytime soon.

Nintendo however is a different issue - they are still lagging behind when it comes to digital support unless they come up with something similar to how the digital content is locked to your account and not the console itself.

Also most forget that even tho you have bought the game on the disc, you are still paying for the license, not entire ownership of the game, that changed a long time ago.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.
