The Neo is more clear cut in my opinion - if it launches this year. It's initial launch will be aimed squarely at those who already own a PS4 and can afford an upgrade. That second hand market is going to be popular for a while too. Retailers are not going to be too unhappy. Sony are going to be posting huge profits for their online component next year and it won't be just because of the $10 price increase. It will be because of the Neo, the Slim being bought mass market to play FIFA/COD type games and the second hand market created by those that replace their PS4s with the Slim. Normally you would see the older consoles languish in at the retailers but because some people prefer the older version the second hand PS4 market will thrive for quite some time as people go out and replace their consoles with the Neo. In my opinion Sony are sitting pretty. |
They indeed are in a good position currently in my eyes as well. I am glad to see some action personally lol. The XB1s doing pretty good so far the PS4 holding strong and with th Slim and Neo coming things look good all around!....for those two anyway....
The absence of evidence is NOT the evidence of absence...
