This is only the beginning. This is just the natural evolution of the subscription services on gaming. The market accepted the Live fees on the 360 when PS3 online services were free, and now that the PS4 put a paywall on its online multiplayer, the market, once again, didn't say a word. Now that the companies know that people won't complain about subscriptions and need them for most multiplayer nowadays, they can safely increase the price. Why not, it's not like people would abandon it in any significant amount. They have the market grabbed by the balls, now that fees on multiplayer is commonplace. The thing that terrifies me the most out of all of this is that some companies might start charging for their servers on PC.

You know it deserves the GOTY.
