Yes but of course it's basically of no use for end users as there is no support for external drives.

You can backup your PS4-data since firmware 2.50 on a USB-HDD... so it is not useless, especially if you want to transfer the data to a different PS4 model (f.e. from launch-PS4 to PS4 Neo). And you don't want to backup or restore 0.5 - 2.0 TB with USB2.0
