The difference I believe lies in the harm or lack thereof. Pedophilia is incredibly harmful to children, and the desire to protect our children runs deep. By contrast, a consenting, adult gay couple wanting to get married harms nobody. 

So no, I don't see any danger of pedophilia becoming acceptable.
