Rome is one of the prime candidates for 2024 after it was chosen (or was near to beeing chosen I don't recall exactly) for 2020 but our ex-Prime Minister decided that the country couldn't afford to invest in the Olympics during such a time of crisis, ironically his name was Mario Monti. Looking back he made a really smart choice, not because of the crisis but because in the last few years a mafia organizzation countig thousands of people within Rome was stopped, if the olympics where to be in 2020 in Rome they would have already earned hundreds of milions of euros thanks to the contracts for the infrastuctures that need to be built.
Still Mario won't appear in Rome, Italy is Sonyland, they might very well prefer to feature Nathan Drake instead of Mario...
