Nintendo wasn't happy with Conker as it was rated M on their console.

Nintendo already gor Mario, they don't need Banjo.

a Banjo game would do fantastically on a Nintendo system, the fanbase is there. I'm not sure if Nintendo was unhappy about Conker, its not as if they were unaware of how edgy Rare was going with it
