Just keep clicking them a bunch for a while (while the DS is on, when you're watching TV or something), and blow in the shoulder button every 30 seconds. It will take a couple of days to return completely back to normal, but you should see immediate results after about 2 minutes. let me know if it works.

Also, if you get all the Materia, collect all 35 of the 1/35 soldier items, and go back to the church where you first met Aeris, you can get her back!
