| Soundwave said: It is a bit unprofessional IMO, Nintendo makes deals with like 20 different suppliers for any given game console, imagine every one of them blabbing that they've gotten a game contract win. |
A supplier who makes the ROM chips for game carts for Nintendo said they were expecting increases in profits thanks to winning a contract with a console manufacturer. (And they only make Carts for Nintendo.)
It actually happens more often than you think.
And in-fact it's actually normal procedure for many companies to disclose potential up-ticks in revenue/profits so they can attract more investors and shareholders.
| Soundwave said: There's only three companies making consoles so it's not terribly difficult to guess who, it's like hooking up with a girl but the girl saying be discreet, don't talk about it and the next day you go and blab that you hooked up with one of three girls without giving a specific name. That girl is probably still going to be pissed off at you, lol. |
The thing is though, the news Article about the AMD design wins was released before the Xbox One S.
As you know the Xbox One S has a revised chip.
So it could be Xbox One S, Neo and Scorpio and not about Nintendo at all, this is being blown out of proportion.
