After this logic we could also do a comparison with Minesweeper or Solitaire because they are games too.
Like Ka-Pi mentioned, these games may be owned by that many people, but they didn't sell that many copies. That's the reason why I think that Wii Sport makes no sense in this comparison. 

Unlike Solitaire and Minesweeper, Wii Sports is actually a game that you can own, lend and buy/sell. It qualifies just the same as GTA V. Its success was defined by the massive bundling it had, but those are sales nonetheless.
