On your Wii U point, do not argue with me. Please find the guy that disagrees with you and argue with him. In his defense, a console does not have to function exactly like both. A Liger does not function exactly like a tiger or a lion. In order to be a hybrid, it has to have both. And Wii U does have both. Not that I agree, just being fair in his defense.

On your function point, that would literally only make one of the three required places. But, if that is true, that would make it more of a hybrid. I will not deny that. And that would be pretty freaking sweet! However, I stand by my example with my host. Because even with all of that, without a shell to connect it to a television, it would be a hand held. And if the shell were released later, it would be a hand held with a shell adapter. It would not be a home console, or a hybrid. One of the biggest question marks is if the shell is packaged in or not. If it is, people will see it as a hybrid (really a home console) but if not, people will see it as a hand held with an option. Not to mention there is still my argument that this console's main/primary function is as a hand held.  While looking into the controller argument, I see it says, "possibly" in relation to it connecting more controllers which is probably why I dismissed it. I can take a rumor but speculation on top of a rumor I tend to ignore. But if that is the case, I will consider revising my position.

You asked me a question you planned to answer? I do not even get that. I do not even know where you are going with this part of your conversation. I am not working for NIntendo (maybe you are?) nor am I in their budget so I have to take your word on this one??? Like, the hell are you talking about?

What does that even mean? I have no idea if you are even talking to me about the same things anymore... I want to say I agree with you but... I do not know if I do or not. Reading it again, I know we are not talking about the same thing. I said hybrid does not mean home console. You said home console does not equal hybrid; you mean the opposite. That means you mean what I think you should not mean. Then said you said what I said you should not say. I think that is what happened and it confused me. Are you as confused as I got?

And I did not say I dislike this community (seriously? Am I the only one reading this?). I feel like you just took this conversation in places it was never intended to go. What happened here?

Yeah...

You want me to stop arguing that point, but then you continue arguing it. Not a good plan! The Wii U has to be tethered to a wall, a handheld does not, that simple really.

The rumor says it has a docking station and detachable controllers, the latter of which serving little purpose for handheld gaming, so that screams hybrid to me, but yes we'll need to see it to be 100% certain.

I'm talking about what I just said. Nintendo is unable to support two systems, the 3DS and Wii U are proof of that, so the obvious solution is to merge them. That's the whole point of the NX being a hybrid, all their developers making games for one system instead of two. All of Nintendo's actions have been hinting at this, from Smash going multiplat, the merging of their handheld and home console development teams, the lack of 8th gen software support lately, and that Nintendo pretty much straight up said NX will replace both Wii U and 3DS. The hybrid is their primary focus.

Maybe stop rambling the same thing over and over making your post unnecessarily long and think? Since I never said hybrid = console, you didn't need to tell me that hybrid =/= home console, which is true because hybrid means it's more than just a home console, it's also more than just a handheld, that I've said before.

You're the one who brought up the community for no reason, saying you don't know what to make of it, I'd think it should be pretty obvious what people are gonna take that comment to imply.

I will start with your last point first and go up: I brought up another member of the community because it was relevent to the argument of Wii U being a hybrid or not. I would like if there was consistency in the community (not everyone must feel the same way but if there is not a general consensus, then what am I to make of the community? One minute we all agree Wii U is just a home console, the next it is a hybrid...). That you would say I said stuff I never said is not my fault at all. You have to own that mistake. Not liking to argue is not so bad. As I said, my initial post was to someone that seemed to be heading towards my line of thinking. It was not even to you so... yeah.

I do not know what that means. I know what you did not say, it is what you did say that confused me. You started off like you were agreeing with me, but you were really saying the direct opposite of what I was saying. It was confusing. You should reread what you... no lets not. We should move on.

I said I am not in Nintendo's budget to know these things. I am glad you are here fresh out of Nintendo's fianicial department to let me know that. I ain't buying shit you said, however.

I read the rumor. The part about multiplayer said, "possibly" so I kind of dismissed it. If it has just one controller, that is no differnt than the tablet my girlfriend has. Which is a hand held, for sure. She has an ipad 3 and we bought her a bluetooth controller. As I said, if that is true, that would be dope. Dope as hell.

I did not tell you to stop. I recommended you argue it with the person that believes basically the same thing as you except he thinks Wii U is a hybrid. I do not think it is. Then again, nothing you said disputes his point just like nothing I said could dispute his point either. I guess he is correct.
