Maybe they're skipping the hardware revision and targeting Scorpio to not face backlash of having to buy a hardware revision AND a new console in such a small time frame. But that's just what ifs. Sony have already talked about the Neo and how it's a ps4 with higher specs and how it will work being sold alongside the standard. They've also spoke out about being surprised about MS announcing hardware way before launch. This points to announcement and hardware launch soon after.
